The administration and staff at Ballon Community Training Centre
seek to promote a student-centred secure and caring community
environment and a balanced curriculum.
In partnership, we hope to provide an atmosphere which encourages
respect, responsibility, and commitment, drawing forth the positive
potential of each individual, thus equipping all students to
take their place in life and work in the future.
Ballon Community Training Centre has agreed
Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures with FETAC and is
a registered Training and Testing Centre for FETAC Courses.
As the national awarding body for further education and training
in Ireland, the Further Education and Training Awards Council
(FETAC) gives people the opportunity to gain recognition for
learning in education or training centres, in the work place
and in the community. FETAC was set up as a statutory body on
11 June 2001 by the Minister for Education and Science under
the Qualifications (Education & Training) Act, 1999. FETAC
has responsibility for making awards previously made by BIM,
Fáilte Ireland (CERT), FÁS, NCVA and Teagasc and
has made over 500,000 awards to date.
Ballon Community Training Centre is a registered
Automated Test Centre for ECDL. Exams can be held on demand.
